Alliteration Poem-Disney Style

Ariel's above aquatic adventures anger an aggressive authority
Beautiful Belle breaks Beast's bane blissfully
Cinderella cleans countess' crib constantly
Dumbo displays deadly dares
Esmeralda's entertainment's enchanting
Flounder forever's frightened
Gaston's greed grows greatly grim
Hades' home's horrifyingly haunting

A Morning In F-Wing

I walk through the doors of F-Wing.
The pod is covered with ska/theatre kids talking.
As I continue past the door of F-1,
Out from the Teacher's Room comes someone
Dressed with a tie and a cup of coffee,
Which the aroma seems to linger shortly.
I pass the girls with hair and nails all nice.
On the opposite side, guys with hair that sticks up like sticks of black ice.
The different clicks scattered here and there,
And the mixture of perfume and body odor fill the air.
On either walls, maroon lockers open and shut close
As another teacher walks through with glasses on her nose.
Everywhere I look everyone's having a ball,
Until the 7:15 warning bell echoes through the hall.
From clicks to stampede they rush to their homeroom
Hoping to catch each other again after school.
Now the 7:18 bell rings in the empty hallway,
And F-Wing waits quietly for its kids to return throughout the day.

Remember That Time

So remember that time
The day I pointed and laughed at your unibrow

It was quite funny at the time
The day I laughed when you were totally embarrassed

Oh wait, remember a minute before that time
The time you first laughed at my growing mustache

I must say I think about that time
The time I defended myself because now

Looking back at that time
I am still not sorry

Percy Jackson and The Olympians: The Lightning Thief

Yesterday I just finished the first book to the Percy Jackson series and it was amazing!!! I know, I know, it's a young adult book and my ten year old sister's fourth grade friends are reading it, but it was really a good book. I don't usually look at books that are past 200 pages but this (a 400 page book) sounded really good. If you don't know about it, it's about a sixth grader named Percy Jackson who discovers he is the son of Poseidon. He embarks on a journey to the Underworld to retrieve the master lightning bolt from Zeus. Yes, the Greek gods are very much alive in this book. Their kingdom of Mount Olympus is above the Empire State building and the Underworld is in the City of L.A. They move their kingdoms to wherever civilization brings them. On the journey, him and his two friends encounter Greek monsters like Medusa and Cerberus. If you don't know a lot of Greek stories, this book will have you know a lot of them by the end of the book. If you don't want to read it, the movie version comes out February 12, 2010.
